  15.    This software is ShareWare.  Although every effort has been made
  16. as to this softwares ability to run correctly, I (the author) hold no
  17. liability for any ill effects that may be caused from using it, to
  18. itself, other programs or any data on your system, even if I have been
  19. informed before hand of the likely hood of such an event.

  22.    Copying and distributing this software is allowable as long as it
  23. is copied in hole, including this ReadMe file, the manual on disk and
  24. all code and data files held within the !FineArt application directory
  25. in their orriginal states unless modified in such a way as described
  26. specifically in the manual via proper program options.
  27.    If you wish to use this program after an initial trial period you
  28. should register as a proper user with the author. This also entitles
  29. you to the most upto date version of the software (see below).

  31.    The registration fee is £15.00 and a cheque for this amount, made
  32. payable to Mr B S Alcock, should be sent to 38 GreenAcres,

  37.    If an up-to-date version of the software is required please enclose
  38. a stamped, self addressed envelope, along with a blank, pre-formated
  39. ADFS 800K - 3.5" disk with your registration fee. Any disks sent
  40. without all the above points being taken care of may not be returned,
  41. dependant on the demands of my time. Please be patient with replies
  42. as it is likely that I am just trying to finish off a new version before
  43. sending it out. Please note that a later version than this is unlikely
  44. before the 3rd quarter of 1994.

  46.    After registration, at any time you want, you can send another disk
  47. which meets the above criteria to the above address to receive the
  48. latest version of the software. In this instance also include your
  49. registration number (if you are provided with one). The main benefit
  50. of registering as a user of this software though is that you can make
  51. suggestions as to what the program should look like in the future. It
  52. is not beyond the scope of possiability that new versions will be
  53. 'customised' to your own requirements.
  54.    Please note that new versions of the software are not guaranteed to
  55. work better or include more options than existing copies you may have.
  56. To this end when upgrading your copy of this program please keep an
  57. old copy in case you are not satisfied with the new version. This is
  58. because new versions of the software are unlikely to get as full a
  59. test as they should, due to the time involved for testing each and
  60. every option.

  62.    Please also include a covering note, preferable typed or in a ReadMe
  63. file on the disk, include your name, address, your registration number
  64. (where applicable) as well as any/all comments about the program.
  65. Comments should be about any problems you are having with the software
  66. (ie bugs), the programs RiscOS compliance (ie how it works in comparison
  67. to how other RiscOS programs work), any new features you would like to
  68. see in the program, any features you would like to see altered, or any
  69. thing else you can think of in reference to it. If possible could you
  70. also include any ideas on how to implement your suggestions as it would
  71. speed up (or in some cases might make possible) the inclusion of new
  72. ideas into the program. I may then (in some instances) be able to
  73. implement your suggestions in the new issue that I send back. This
  74. though is not guaranteed!!

  79.    This version of the program has a number of bugs fixed in it from
  80. the previous version (one being you can now use the flood fill across
  81. mirrors) as well as two new options, a random spray can and a 'copy
  82. all' to select area option.

  84. The future....

  86.    This program should be extended later this year to include
  87. a few new features that I wish to implement. These include more shapes
  88. such as outline triangles etc, bigger brushes, a better brush designer,
  89. a seperate filter designer, views of the select areas contents and low res
  90. versions of icons to save memory. I also would like to write a proper
  91. electronic full colour manual for the program (if I get time).
  92.    I would also like to implement a better printing option, support for
  93. other file formats both for importing and exporting, a select area which
  94. allows you to scale what you wish to put onto the paper and a hard disk
  95. memory mapper so that very large pictures can be edited without the
  96. need for great amounts of memory. Unfortunatly I am currently unable to
  97. do these last few things as I haven't a clue how to. If you have any
  98. knowledge in any of these four areas which you wouldn't mind passing
  99. onto me, it would be eagerly accepted.
  100.    Future versions may drop features such as paper and material types,
  101. the background FineArt file, move onto the new Acorn Risc PC and stick
  102. to using 24 bit sprite files. This is unlikely in the near future though,
  103. but watch this space... In any event, any old file formats should be
  104. convertable in new versions to any new formats. In fact this copy
  105. already supports a now defunct FineArt file format from an earlier
  106. version. This does though meen that future versions are not necessarily
  107. going to be backward compatiable.
